Helping Fathers Rebuild Resilience and Purpose after div/orce

Pillars of Resilience

01.

Self Awareness

Know your internal landscape.

You can’t steer through a storm if you don’t know where you’re at. Awareness of your thoughts, emotions and habits gives you the clarity to course correct before you crash.

02.

Emotional Regulation

Stay steady when the waves hit.

Resilience isn’t about ignoring emotion- it’s about managing it. The power lies in responding with intention, not reacting from pain or ego.

03.

Mindset & Perspective

Reframe the challenge.

A resilient mindset isn’t blind optimism- it’s the ability to find meaning in struggle and use it as fuel for growth. You don’t control the storm, but you can control the sail.

04.

Purpose & Direction

Have a “why” that keeps you moving.

Purpose transforms pain into direction. When you know what you are fighting for – your kids, your growth, your future – setbacks become part of the mission, not the end of it.

06.

Physical Health & Vitality

Build a body that can carry the weight.

Movement, recovery, and nourishment are fuel for mental strength. You can’t think clearly or powerfully if you’re constantly drained.

05.

Connection & Community

No man goes it alone.

True resilience is built in community. Having people who understand your battles – and who hold you accountable – keeps you grounded and growing.

07.

Discipline & Consistency

Do the work, even when you don’t feel like it.

Resilience is forged in daily habits- the small reps that build integrity, stability, and self-respect. Discipline is what turns intention into strength.

08.

Faith & Inner Belief

Trust in something greater – and in yourself.

Whether it’s spiritual faith, personal conviction, or belief in the process- faith gives you endurance. It’s the quiet strength that whispers, “Keep going.”

WHO AM I?

I'm Mike. I help fathers rebuild resilience and purpose after divorce.

What qualifies me to be a resilience coach and to lead- At The Helm–comes from both experience and conviction. I’ve lived through the wreckage of divorce, identity loss, and the weight of fatherhood when life feels it’s drifting off course. I know what it takes to rebuild a sense of direction and purpose when the map no longer makes sense. At The Helm- Resilience Coaching was built from that journey- to help other men reclaim control of their lives, redefine who they are, and steer forward with strength, clarity and purpose. I don’t speak from theory, I speak from experience.
